The new 28-bed Juvenile Detention Center is designed to provide secure detention services for both males and females. Community and student safety is ensured by a staff to student ration of 1 to 8. Students attend life skills development groups daily to help become productive members of society upon release and thereby decrease recidivism.
Though a cooperative agreement with the Natrona County School District, youth receive educational services year-round.
